To Mobilize without delay all possible resources for the urgent action to STOP the major military offensive underway in Nuba Mountains of Sudan.
The Issue
There is suffecient, first hand material evidence that the government of Sudan has completed all logistical preparations for launching a major ground assault targeting the relocation of thousands of civillian villagers to government controlled camps in S. Kurdufan State.
A mechanized military convoy code named 'Amin al-Nur', is currently based at 'al-Faidh um-Abdalla' near Rasgad town, under the command of Brig. Abdalsamad Babikir, Col. Mohammed al-Fatih and Maj. Mohammed Rabie Mohammed, backed up by two para military 'militia' formations code named 'Asad Alla' & 'Saif Alla' respectively. Their task as determined by the army and the security most senior officials (Gen. Abdelrahim Hussein and Gen Mohammed Ata) is to clear the villages of Tomi, Mansour, Tarawa, Tinemin, Tajilbu, Teeri and surrounding settlements of any inhabitants. The targeted communities would forcibly be relocated to selected government-controlled camps in S. Kurdufan where the youth and/or the physically fit older men have to choose between fighting alongside GoS troops and allied militiamen against SPLM-N or face the firing squads on site.
The Threat is REAL. The direct and the collateral damage of the assault will certainly be of colossal denominations unless YOU, the international community, the world leaders and the concerned organizations and pressure groups MOVE QUICKLY and EFFECTIVELY in a PROACTIVE manner. Time is RUNNING OUT. As of NOW, EVERY MOMENT counts.
The message to the government of Sudan must be clear that whilst Gen. Bashir and key associates stand accountable at all times and under all circumstances, each and every person participating in this senseless military campaign, regardless of their ranks or titles, must rest assured that they stand equally responsible and accountable, individually as well as collectively.
