Andrew Finerty started this petition to UML Dining Services

Most students pay between $4,500-$4,900 per academic year for meal plans at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. For the last two years, and many more according to alumni, the quality of food served to the student body has been slipping. As of today, it is nearly unacceptable. From apathetic staff, to constantly running out of plates, cups and silverware, UML’s dining service is plagued with issues that are a slap in the face for students shelling out thousands to eat there.

On top of that, the staff routinely close their stations early, and take an extended period of time to refill basic self service food items. The students pay to receive food up until your dining hall closes, not an hour before to be left with scraps.

The food services offered to UMASS Lowell students pales in comparison to that of UMASS Amherst. $4,900 a year for dry, unflavored, repetitive food, served by rude and apathetic staff is a disgrace to both UMASS, and the state of Massachusetts itself.

If we get enough signatures, I will physically print them out and hand deliver them to dining services, as well as as many high ranking administration members possible.
