In light of recent events, the assumption that we need more guns in public, not fewer is uneducated and illogical. And for Public Officials ...THE elected officials who are charged with keeping us safe, to be on the record stating that EVERY LEGAL GUN OWNER should carry ALL OF THE TIME, makes it only more nonsensical, and potentially dangerous.  PLUS it exacerbates people's irrational fears, and promulgates potential irresponsible behavior. Sheriffs, Van Blarcum et al...please focus on doing your job: keeping us safe from guns, not introducing more!
