Now, more than ever, we need the UK Government to improve funding for the NHS.

Many countries spend more per person on healthcare in the world than the UK, despite the UK being in the top 5 of the world economies. Many countries have more healthcare workers per head of population than the UK

Globally we are facing a catastrophe in healthcare provision and most frontline Healthcare workers feel that we have been chronically underfunded for years.

Time and time again we are informed of "unprecedented" levels of funding but with chronic underfunding due to austerity, this is still inadequate. Unprecedented does not equal adequate.
With the current cancellation of so much healthcare we will face a massive backlog of clinical problems in an already underfunded NHS, likely to lead to years of escalating waiting lists, lives lost and disability untreated.

This petition is very simple- we just want to see the UK as the top investor in healthcare in the world, both per-capita and as % of GDP.

We can have the best healthcare in the world, but we need increased investment to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.

Please sign this petition to enshrine in law that the UK will fund the NHS such that we spend more per capita and as % of GDP than all other countries in the world and funded in a not-for-profit model.
