WHITE COLONIALISM & SLAVERY HISTORY MONTH

WHITE COLONIALISM & SLAVERY HISTORY MONTH
The Issue
White Colonial & Slavery History Month
There is a growing feeling amongst people about the history of both Black and white. Looking back there has been so many misguided messages, and the truth has never been told. It is sad to say that after hundreds of years we as humans do not know our history and its been distorted and officially fed back to us, leading to the current space of continuous inequality through racism from a general space toward black people in particular.
Where did racism start. Who started racism, and why. True History will tell you that,
So in light of this, it is not a question of black v white. It is a question of the truth and what is being told and taught.
This narrative has been going on for hundreds of years and it will keep going on until the truth be told. History is being taught in schools, colleges, through media and does not reflect the truth, the whole truth in relation to colonialism, slavery & racism from the past so we can all understand the lasting effects today in order to make the necessary changes.
Having a White Colonialism & Slavery history month would be a good idea, to help balance the education of the nation. I would go as far as to put forward, training to be a history teacher should be made to be more diverse and include this core element of our history in their learning.
Having a black history month is very insulting. Black history dates from time began and that history has to be told too.
It is now time for true history to be told!
