We do not want the government to bring back animal testing for cosmetic ingredients.

We do not want the government to bring back animal testing for cosmetic ingredients.
The Issue
In 1998 testing on animals for ingredients exclusively used in cosmetics was banned.
The UK government are looking at expanding the use of animal testing to once again include ingredients exclusively used in cosmetics.
This is following a decision made last year by the appeals board of the European Chemicals Agency and the UK Government want to follow suit.
Whilst our laws on animal testing have not changed at this time, we think that, after 23 years of successfully not testing on animals for the cosmetics industry, it should not even be being discussed.
By signing this petition we are sending a very clear message to the UK Government that we do not want cosmetic ingredients to be tested on animals and that such conversations should not even be happening.
Let’s not undo 23 years of great work!
