This petition demands that ALL serving Members of Parliament, and Members of the House of Lords, be forbidden to hold seconds jobs, either as a self-employed consultant or as an employee.

Members of Parliament are elected to serve their constituents not 'feather their own nest' or 'line their own pockets'.

Their current salary of £82,000 a year, is more than enough to live on.

The law should be amended forthwith so that as a condition of becoming an M.P., their resignation to their current employer should be tendered, any-self employed activities should cease the day they are elected to Parliament.

This way the public should be assured that they are doing what they were elected to do in the first place.
