Shane Fielding started this petition to UK Parliament and

We are all now becoming aware of the global crisis unfolding everyday regarding climate change / crisis

I will not list alarming facts and figures here as you are more than capable of doing your own research (Google or Netflix documentaries are the easiest for most people)

We need to stop arguing over opinion and face up to the reality that we all share

There are so many things that we can do to help the environment but to help better prepare and change the thinking of future generations we should implement a lesson in schools to teach young minds about the environment; why looking after nature/animals/plants is so important; perhaps basic foraging; learning basic types of plants and growing fruit/veg; making/mending things -- anything that will help children to become better tuned in to the world around them and hopefully inspire future generations to fight against climate change and have a different way of thinking, rather than our current trends of ignorance working against us all

Even a small change of a one hour practical lesson per week - hopefully through secondary school too - could have a big impact!

(When I was in school I learnt more about a novel from a hundred years ago than I did about myself or the importance of the world around me...)
