Stop UK Govt Return To Animal Testing

Stop UK Govt Return To Animal Testing

In 1998 animal testing for cosmetics was stopped in the UK, making the UK a global leader on this issue.
The UK Government is reconsidering its position following a ruling in Europe, which insists that some ingredients need to be tested on animals to ensure it is safe. We must stop this from becoming a return to animal testing.
I am an independent consultant with The Body Shop At Home, part of The Body Shop International who has been campaigning on this issue since 1989, alongside Cruelty-Free International we are campaigning for Cruelty Testing Globally. This was an issue close to Dame Anita Roddick’s heart, we must take this up on her behalf.
The UK has been a leader on this issue and to retract its position sends a harmful message to the world and damages the campaign enormously.
Please sign this position and let the UK Government know that we do not want a return to animal testing and we need to remain strong on this issue.
