Stop fireworks in residential homes

Stop fireworks in residential homes
We must license firework displays to protect our animals.
The rules are that fireworks are permitted between 5pm-11pm. This is 6 hours of unwanted stress and fear for not only domestic animals but wildlife and farm animals too.
Animals are cowering in their bed or at home, going through severe torment and stress.
Farm animals are easily frightened by loud noises and sudden flashes of bright light, which can startle and cause them to injure themselves on fencing and farm equipment.
Wildlife, like hedgehogs, are also at risk of being burnt alive after making their homes in bonfires.
Fireworks are also highly disturbing to some birds and have caused the abandonment of nests or even whole colonies.
The RSPCA has received nearly 2000 calls in the last five years because of fireworks. It might not seem a huge amount, but not only does it cause stress for the animals, but their families and young children having to watch their beloved fur friend go through this.
If firework displays can be licensed, the displays can be enjoyed stress free and in a controlled environment.
