On August 5th 2018, an earthquake of 7.0 magnitude on the Richter Scale struck Lombok in Indonesia. 

Ten days on, 437 people have been killed, many more are missing. 387,000 people are currently living in tents or under tarpaulin, with over 50% of homes in North and East Lombok destroyed. 468 schools and 3 hospitals have been damaged or destroyed.

There is a water shortage, with some relief coming from Bali, however international aid is scarce. The UK Government can help. In the long term, homes need to be rebuilt, and in the short term, the people of Lombok need more food and water.
