Reopen the Finsbury Park - Edgware Railway

Reopen the Finsbury Park - Edgware Railway

The Issue

I’d like to propose that the Northern Heights project (which was officially scrapped in 1954) between Finsbury Park and Edgware is re-activated. So that a sustainable railway can operate, providing public transport between this two location and the rest of London.

If the railway was to be reinstated, it would help generate jobs, provide a cleaner mode of transport (compared to TFL buses) and help link up the community as a social corridor.

Most of the railway tracked is intact and the project was only shelved after resources were scarce following the end of World War 2.

It’s time to reopen this railway!
