TV channel 'RT' is part of the Russian war machine's state apparatus, spreading propaganda and disinformation to further the objectives of Vladimir Putin including lies justifying the illegal invasion of Ukraine. This propaganda channel is broadcast daily into homes across the UK, leveraging infrastructure paid for, and managed in part by licence fee and tax payer money. 

Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has stated “I think it’s certainly true that it is spouting propaganda on behalf of the Kremlin. One of the things the Kremlin does is use disinformation to try and sow discord in the West – and RT is clearly part of that.” However in response the government has merely requested Ofcom review the matter - this falls far short of the decisive action needed to respond appropriately to Russian aggression to a sovereign European state.

By signing up to this petition I am adding my voice to demand Parliament and the Government to not shirk their responsibilities by passing this to Ofcom, but rather to do what's right and moral to immediately silence the voice of Vladimir Putin beaming into our homes by removing the TV channel RT UK from UK broadcasting platforms.
