Transitioning to cleaner transportation can only happen with a mixture of new and converted vehicles. The DVLA rule on emissions for vehicles registered between 2001 - 2017, that are converted to full electric and are not allowed to have their taxation reclassified needs to be revoked. There are more and more people wanting to convert perfectly good vehicles from internal combustion to full electric, but this ruling doesn’t make sense anymore and is a sure way to slow down the transition to zero emission vehicles. Anything that can be done to improve cleaner air in UK needs to be encouraged not blocked.
