Rabbits are one of the most neglected animal in the Uk, we are failing them.

They are passed from pillar to post, in Pet shops, sold online, given away, abandoned. They are overbred and even moreso left alone in hutches that are far too small for them. There they sit; misunderstood, cold and depressed until they die.

Not only is this not enough, we also expose them to excruciatingly painful & fatal diseases by failing to carry out essential vaccinations. Myxomatosis, Viral Hemorrhagic Disease and RVHD2 are spreading like wildfire in the UK currently. Numbers of which are incredibly inconclusive as cause of death is rarely investigated and their contaminated bodies go on to be buried in the ground; thus spreading the highly contagious diseases even further.

Not vaccinating a rabbit is failing it's basic needs yet people still take this risk.

Vaccinations should be mandatory for anyone selling or rehoming a rabbit; online, in a pet shop or through any platform whatsoever.

Profits should not take priority over an animals health, safety and their quality of life.
