Legalisation of pitbull terriers

Legalisation of pitbull terriers
The Issue
Pitbulls are banned because of how they look and because they are being homed to people who only want the breed as a status symbol and that's not how it should be the pitbull terrier is no different to a staffy or a jack Russell or a cavalier king Charles there dogs who want to be loved and dogs who deserve a chance I belive the ban should be lifted and each pitbull should be given a serial number to keep track of the dog no one under the age of 25 should own a pitbull or anyone with convictions regarding animal fighting or animal abuse anyone who has a pitbull that's having pups should notify the correct authorities and register the litter then each pup is given a serial number and anyone wanting to purchase a pup must be over 25 with no animal related convictions then the dogs must always be on leash unless in a secure back garden when out in the street the dogs must wear a certain coulourd collar to let the public know this is a pitbull and if you have a dominent dog or a dog that is hyper to please keep the dog on leash or under control or simply muzzle the pitbull the pitbull is a loving miss understood breed that deserves a second chance its not the dog it's the owners that make them that way with correct socialising and training there brilliant dogs I'm not a pitbull owner myself I own a springer spaniel but none the less I love all dog breeds and think it is disgusting that a dog should be judged or have its life ended due to its breed would we allow people to do this to our children based on how they look or act no we wouldn't so why allow it to happen to the pitbull I hope to one day in the future have the honor and pleasure of sharing my home with this wonderful breed and I'm asking the people of the UK to come together and make this possible us as humans are expected to be treated equal whether we're Scottish Irish Turkish English Indian Jamaican Polish so why should we allow the pitbull to be treated any differently to a spaniel a chow chow a ridge back a German shepherd a beagal any dog can have the potential to bite someone but with correct training care and love it should be a very rare thing but by making the pitbull illegal your only making it more of a desire to own to the people who shouldn't be allowed to own a budgie let alone a dog so people of the UK it's about time we stood up for the misjudged misunderstood pitbull and slowly but surely help this breed have the chance in life that they deserve.
