Love him or hate him, John Bercow is the elected speaker of the House of Commons. He was elected by the MPs who we elected to our parliament.

I was sent a petition to sign (on this website) calling for his removal. That is not the correct procedure for removing a speaker of the house. There are ways MPs can remove him from his position if they wish to. There are currently some MPs who would like to remove him, but there are more MPs who wish him to remain as the speaker. This is the only reason he remains in post.

Please sign this petition to demonstrate your support for MPs to get on with their jobs and not be put in the position of losing their post by petitions on the internet.
