I run an animal sanctuary with 160 animals, including 10 dogs, some of whom have themselves been victims of unimaginable cruelty. Floppy Flo had two of her legs deliberately chopped off with a machete. She also is riddled with shot gun pellets. Stories like Bella's really resonate with me.
