Increase sentences for those found guilty of texting whilst driving.

Increase sentences for those found guilty of texting whilst driving.
The Issue
The sentence available for people who cause death or serious injury whilst texting when driving is not sufficient to act as a deterrent to stop people from using their phones whilst driving. My husband was killed on 21st February 2016 and his colleague received life changing injuries when they were hit by a driver who was involved in a text conversation whilst driving at excessive speed in atrocious weather. Although the judge gave the driver the highest sentence he could it was only 7 years with him only having to serve 3 and a half years. I feel that this is insufficient and that my husband's life and his colleagues injuries are worth more than this. I feel that he should at least serve the whole 7 years. My life and my son's life has been changed forever. He will get his life back.
Please support this petition asking parliament to dramatically increase the sentences available to judges.
