Get rid of the time constraint on S6 of the sexual offenses act:Sex with a child under 16

I think the government should abolish the 12 month time constraint of section 6 of the sexual offenses act:Sexual act with a child under the age of 16. Because loads of fellow victims don't speak out until later in life for various reasons. So predators and paedophiles are allowed to roam free providing the haven't performed a sexual act with a child under 13 instead of being held accountable for their crimes.

As the law stands now if a girl or boy over thirteen but under sixteen is sexually assaulted they need to report it within 12 months of it happening other wise no charges can be brought. So the only thing their abusers can be charged with is rape or sexual assault which is even harder to prove.

Our government must stop protecting these criminals and learn to help the abused.

Please sign and share and help other victims get the justice they so rightly deserve.
