Coronavirus jumped from 'live' meat markets in China - stop trading with China

The Issue

Everyone needs to take action - STOP TRADING WITH CHINA  UNTIL THEY LEGISLATE AGAINST 'LIVE' MEAT.

For years I have been emailing European companies explaining that I will not buy their goods if they are made in China. Hitting them in the pocket is the only thing that will change their minds.

Eating the brains of live bats  or the foetuses of pangolins etc. encourages the transmission of viruses, as has happened with Coronavirus (also SARS, bird flu, swine flu etc.) at Wuhans 'wet' meat market. l will spare you the details of the unspeakable cruelty meted out on these animals. I have no wish to trade with people who torture animals before they are killed because it makes them 'taste better', witnessed at the yearly Yulin dog-eating festival, amongst many others.

Products from China continue to arrive in this country and medical officials are saying they don't know how some people are catching the Coronavirus!

Please check every product you have, if it's made in China, email the seller (e.g. M&S, B&Q etc.) and tell them you will source your goods elsewhere. If they think they are losing trade, they will put pressure on their Chinese suppliers to lobby their government. The Chinese government will only take action to ban these practices if large numbers of their own citizens start losing trade. Money Talks. It is useless for us to lobby the Chinese government for change, they see it as a Western attack on their culture.

This is not an attack on Chinese culture, but things must change. Coronavirus, just the latest in a long line of deadly viruses coming from Chinese wildlife eating practices, is the wake up call we can no longer ignore.
