Ban the public sale of fireworks

Ban the public sale of fireworks
Why this petition matters
Fireworks night has been a long and traditional celebration of a failed attempt at an assassination of parliament. And it’s time to get a tight fisted control on it.
Fireworks are explosives. EXPLOSIVES. But yet they are on sale to general public? The fact that anyone can purchase fireworks is ridiculous. Even teenagers are managing to grab hold of them. This should not be the case. Fireworks are dangerous but are yet being handed out at the supermarket like sweets (excluding Sainsbury’s).
I am tired of seeing stories of pets injuring themselves or dying because people are setting off loud, industrial size fireworks in their back gardens. This is sick and me and plenty of other people are getting increasingly saddened and infuriated about this. Horses, domestic animals and wildlife should not be at a expense for our ‘aesthetic night of celebration’. A celebration of what exactly?
Also, there have been numerous cases of teenagers abusing animals with fireworks. A particular case of a group of boys strapping a firework to a dogs tail stands out. How is this acceptable? Why are our precious animals being used as toys?
Its not just animals either. Young children are being injured, with life changing injuries caused by misguided fireworks in a back garden. How would you feel if it were your child?
LICENSED PUBLIC DISPLAYS should be the only ones eligible to buy fireworks and the only ones to set them off.
Please sign this petition in a bid to help our animals and those of the public that have been at an expense of stupidity and disrespectful treatment of fireworks which are once again EXPLOSIVES.
