As of today, people are allowed to return from amber risk countries to the UK without self isolating if they have had both vaccines. UK citizens who are resident abroad and who have had their vaccinations outside of the UK are not. This is discrimination in the highest possible sense and totally ignores those UK citizens living abroad and their families living in the UK who have strictly adhered to all rules during the whole of the pandemic.
