If we are not allowed to run dog training classes during lockdown, dogs and their owners will suffer.  So many people have bought puppies and rescued dogs this year and they need support.  Without professional help people will not have the necessary skills to teach their dogs and help them settle into their homes.  Behaviour problems will develop with some dogs eventually being relinquished to shelters that are already overcrowded or, worst case scenario, the frustrated and confused dog could become aggressive and cause serious harm resulting in the dog being euthenised.  Reputable trainers have followed Covid-19 guidelines and ensure everyone attending classes is safe with barriers between clients and sufficient distance to ensure there is no physical contact and minimal danger of contamination.
