Mr. Tariq Nasheed, is an American media personality and film producer of the critically acclaimed documentary film series, 'Hidden Colors', discussing the real and untold history of people of color around the globe. He was on his way to the UK for the premiere of part 5, when he was denied access.

On 1st August, Mr. Tariq Nasheed was about to fly out to the UK for the showing of 'Hidden Colors 5', but was banned by the UK government entering the UK, under the premise that he is not conducive to the good of the public of the UK.

Under the 'Authority to Carry Scheme 2015', banning of an individual is based on grounds that: 'There is a need to prevent or disrupt the exit from, entry to or return to the UK of individuals who pose a terrorism-related threat, or other threat to the UK or its interests.’

The educating and empowering of black people is not a threat of terrorism or to the UK, nor has the purchase of the documentary series proven to excite such a result in the US nor in the UK.

Therefore, we ask that you reverse this unjust ban of Mr. Tariq Nasheed to enter the UK.
