The punishment for animal abuse/cruelty us far too soft in this country. I have only just read an article about a man hitting his dogs before putting them in the back of his car. There was video footage on the case, but I could not bring myself to watch it. 

The man just got a fine and community service. So to my knowledge he gets to keep his dogs. This is sick beyond belief!!!  The man should get time in jail, a fine PLUS a ban of owning any animal for life!! 

I feel very very strongly that the law should be more strict on this disgusting behaviour towards animals. I would like to add to this that we must remember, animals do not have voices!!! We must protect and speak for them, as their rights as an animal is just as important as a human.
