When masked Israeli settlers attack Palestinian civilians and their homes, why are they so often described simply as "settlers" or "rioters"?

On 29 August 2026, masked Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian homes in Qusra in the occupied West Bank while families were inside.

The question is simple:

If Palestinians carried out comparable politically motivated attacks against Israeli civilians, would UK media use the same language?

We are asking UK media organisations to apply the same standard when deciding whether violence against civilians should be described as terrorism, regardless of whether the perpetrator is Israeli or Palestinian.

This petition is not calling all Israeli settlers terrorists. It concerns individuals who carry out politically motivated violence against civilians.
