Thank you again everyone for signing and sharing. Nothing new to report about the visa rules - the rules have not changed. The threat of 4 years in prison is still looming over those refugees who arrive in this country without the correct paperwork. 
I received a letter from my MP Marcus Fysh recently as I asked him about the new Nationality and Borders Bill. 

I’m sharing here in case of interest. This was his response back to me. I have marked on it as was shocked at some of the content.
