There have been some changes since I last updated on here. UK government are now allowing families to accept Ukrainian refugees into their homes. The details are still muddled though and visas have still not been waived. There have been questions about the lack of time needed to set the scheme up. There are also questions over the amount of financial support for families - is it enough? Councils have not been updated with how they can provide support yet either.  
It’s not good enough, the hurdles of processing visas and unnecessary bureaucracy are still hampering victims of this invasion. Compare this with other European countries humane responses and we are shockingly out of step.
