Time to put an end to this senseless and heartbreaking crime of dog thieving. These are people's beloved pets, they are our family. Something has got to be done to deter these awful people who have no heart, no consideration for our dogs or us, they are doing ever more despicable things to take them from us. It has to stop now! Give them harsher penalties make it a bigger crime! The law on this has not been updated since 1968. Dogs are classed the same as low value inanimate objects. They are NOT objects they are our living breathing family! The maximum penalty for a dog valued under £500 is 2 years in prison but often offences only result in a fine and are classed as low priority. Let's get this changed.
