Live animal markets in China are already starting up again!  Over 34,000 people world-wide have already died and this pandemic isn’t over yet.  How many more people have to die, how many more people have to lose their jobs, businesses and homes before something is done to prevent the next one?  

Markets in China (and Indonesia) are selling and eating species of animals which are not meant for human consumption, many of which are becoming extinct.  Apart from the sickening way they are kept and killed, the whole world is at constant risk of new viruses if these markets are not closed down. Bats are thought to be the main carriers of the Coronavirus so surely, as a start,  these should be banned for human consumption. 

Who knows just how bad the next pandemic will be, or the one after that?

The UK Government can put pressure on China to change their ways and pressurise other countries’ governments to demand the same. If we don’t do this now, these markets will constantly spring up and, yet again, cause untold deaths and chaos in the UK and around the entire world.
