Having worked within the Merchant Navy many years ago, I am so surprised that Chinese live meat markets are still allowed to continue now that the numbers of dead and infected by Covid-19.  I believe that a good response from Western nations after this disease has been countered, is that we should not buy Chinese goods.  The reason that we buy Chinese goods is because the goods are usually cheaper, many manufacturers in China have stolen Western intellectual property for everyday items.  The problem is that they use substandard materials and have a very abused labour force, whose minimum wage is as little as 50 pence per day.  I would love everyone to help with this petition, you never know, we may get some small, local businesses started  if we stop trading with China.  I have seen the pictures of bats prepared for eating, a pangolin ready for sale.  Who needs to eat a live anteater?  Who needs to demand a leg chopped of a live dog and blow-torched, just for a snack? Please look at what you are buying, What you pay, usually means what you get
