Start austerity at Westminster with a review of all costs regarding the Palace of Westminster and the House of Lords

The Issue

Workers, families, the unemployed, the disabled and more are suffering from the cuts that have been brought in due to austerity. We have all had to tighten our belts and deal with lower levels of income but what about all the costs involved in running the UK Government, the Palace of Westminster, and the House of Lords? I believe that the public deserve a full and frank review of costs including items such as the renewal and upkeep of fur-trimmed cloaks, subsidised meals, and travel expenses for short (even walkable) distances.

A public review of costs and a visible move towards austerity within the government is the only way that the rest of the country will ever believe that we are "all in it together".
