Describing Australia's first female Prime Minister as a "witch".

Opposes same sex marriage (thinks political correctness has gone too far).

Denies climate change. 

Now, you might assume these views are from someone with no grasp on society today but sadly these views are from none other than the former Prime Minister of Australia and the potential new UK trade negotiator for Westminster. 

This petition is calling for Tony Abbott to not be appointed by the UK Government as his views are deeply sexist and homophobic, a culture that in the UK we are trying to stamp out. 

We cannot allow this sort of person to be in charge of trade deals for the British public when he doesn't even respect large groups of people in our communities who he is supposedly negotiating for. 

We cannot continue to watch marginalised groups being disrespected and ignored by people in power.

This goes beyond your preferred political party, this is about individuals being made to feel less than because our Government is out of touch. 

Email, call or tweet your MP. We have elected people in our community to speak for us on matters such as this, we must encourage them to hold the UK Government to account and force them to see their mistake in the consideration of hiring Tony Abbott. He must not represent the UK.

Do not give up the fight for equality.
