Research by MORE TH>N with 2,000 cat and dog owners in the UK has shown that 8% of their pets have ingested poisonous plants or flowers. Of those, 43% needed urgent veterinary care, while 15% sadly passed away.

31% of us don’t know if we have poisonous plants in our homes and gardens and that 80% of people wouldn’t know which wild flowers were poisonous to cats and dogs at all.

As well as raising general awareness of this issue, MORE TH>N is directly campaigning for plant producers, manufacturers of garden products and retailers to provide clearer labelling to show if their items are safe or harmful to cats and dogs – something that 86% of cat and dog owners would like to see.
