As someone who identifies as non-binary it has recently come to my attention that parents have to send in a letter for their childs name, pronouns and uniform to be changed on the registration in school. Which is absolutely fine if you have supportive parents but if you do not it is near impossible to get all that changed so the best you can do is get the students  and possibly some of the teachers (if they are supportive) to call you by your new name and pronouns, and it can be difficult to talk about things like that to people like teachers. And in my school you have, like I've said before, got to get a parent or guardian to send in a letter to get uniform and things changed on the register and not only that but you have to wait for it to be approved.  I also think there should be some sort of gender neutral uniform and gender neutral bathrooms so those who are gender fluid can change/do their hair/put on some makeup if they are feeling gender dysphoria.

To add to this the punishment for transphobia and homophobia among students and teachers isn't as strict as I think it should be as students who are transphobic/homophobic tend to not even get a detention or anything sent home to their parents. as for teachers students tend not to report them as they are scared that the transphobic/homophobic actions will get worse.
