We are three Year 9 students (2 of which are aspiring to be in the Military and are currently in the ACF and ATC) in Camberley, Surrey petitioning for a change in planned military cuts for our Citizenship GCSE. We would like to make a change in how drastic the cuts are on our country's, already low, Defence budget. This issue affects us locally as we are situated near the RMA Sandhurst and our town will be highly affected by these cuts in personnel and budgets in the near future. A high proportion of our town's income (and the local shops income) comes from Officers training at the RMA and at military training camps nearby (such as Longmoor and Pirbright DTE) If we could make a change it could, perhaps, help change the way our country's defence system runs.
