Hi everyone!

This week we are really pleased to see that the Home Secretary has announced that the Government will ratify the Istanbul Convention in the coming months. After many long years of campaigning, this is a huge step forward for women everywhere. A huge thank you to you all for your support to get us to this point!

But it’s not over.

While we welcome the news to ratify the Convention, we are disappointed to hear that the Government plans to ratify the Convention but opt out of providing key support for migrant women. This will leave many survivors behind, denying them this lifeline.

We need your help to call on Government to ask them to ratify the Convention without exceptions, and to provide support for all women in their approach. The power of the Istanbul Convention lies in the fact that it offers all women and girls protection. We won’t settle for less.

Please will you take 2 minutes today to contact your MP and ask them to attend our event on 8 June to show their support? Find out more and see the template email to help you: http://icchange.co.uk/allwomen

Thanks for your ongoing support.
