BIG NEWS: The UK is ratifying the Istanbul Convention!

This week we are really pleased to see that the Home Secretary has announced that the Government will ratify the Istanbul Convention in the coming months.

After many long years of campaigning, this is a huge step forward for women across the UK. A huge thank you to you all for your support to get us to this point!

But it’s not over.

Whilst we welcome the news to ratify the Convention, we are really disappointed to hear that the Government plans to ratify the convention with reservations that exclude some women, especially migrant women.

The power of the Convention lies in the fact it offers all 2omen and girls protection without discrimination. 

We urge Government the next steps to ratification leave no woman behind.
