Rainforests are the lungs of planet Earth. Without them, the planet will suffocate and the human race will, along with most of the animal kingdom, die out. It is not too late, but it will be soon. Technology has found solutions to many problems and this is the most serious problem the human race will ever encounter. Stop wasting money on weapons, space travel, awards ceremonies which cost the earth, literally, to put on. For the sake of our children and our children's children, see sense and stop destroying our beautiful planet. Indigenous communities are being wiped out, their territory is being pillaged and their way of life is being extinguished by the so called developed world. As a race, it is the most intelligent people who are causing it's destruction. This is because they are also greedy and are never happy with what they have. The people their actions affect are the poorest financially but the richest culturally, because nothing they do from within their communities, damages the welfare of the planet. The time to act is now, because tomorrow may be too late.
