Matt Hancock has repeatedly proven his ineffectiveness as Health Secretary by his gross mishandling of the Covid Pandemic. He has presided over the catastrophic Care Home crisis causing unnecessary deaths and hardships. He has overseen the lamentable Test and Trace programme and he has squandered millions of taxpayer’s money on failed PPE acquisitions and abortive tracking systems. Matt Hancock has shown an astonishingly inept grasp of the science and statistics presented to him by his inability to asses the mounting medical evidence against lockdowns, taking instead the advice of proven flawed modelling and wildly exaggerated predictions presented by SAGE. As a direct result of his actions suicides have increased, untreated cancer deaths have risen, thousands of businesses have closed causing hundreds of thousands to lose their jobs and livelihoods.  More anxiety and distress has been caused to the people of the UK than could ever be by Covid-19. Matt Hancock needs to be replaced as a matter of urgency by an expert in the field of medicine who comprehends the science and understands the data and who can manage the Covid outbreak by reasoned, pragmatic and balanced decisions whilst averting further devastation to our economy and people’s livelihoods.
