Basic human rights and respect for truck drivers

0 have signed. Let’s get to 35,000!

Since the lockdown, the UK has named truck drivers as essential workers.

A truck driver in the UK at the moment has no shops open to buy food and no bathroom facilities to take a shower.

Prior to lockdown, drivers were expected to pay the highest prices at service stations for food, paying for parking which is meant to be safe but often isn’t and lorry drivers do not feel valued or respected.

Many drivers spend days away from their families, miss important events with families,  such as birthdays, school plays, wedding anniversariesetc and choose to do so, in order to keep UK supplies moving.

If we get enough signatures, drivers would like to ask Boris Johnson for help in reinstating showers for drivers, food supplies for drivers and more of a working living wage that reflects the hardship drivers have to endure.
