Please give me 5 mins of your time, time that could make a real impact to the environment and wildlife, as well as peoples' property.

I feel very strongly that we need to get the Government to ban the sale of Chinese/Sky lanterns. I am sick of seeing the pictures showing the damage they can do whilst nothing happens to stop them.

Yes they look very pretty when sailing off up into the night sky BUT from there we have no control over what happens to them, how far they travel, how long they burn or where or on what they will land.

They often land still burning/smouldering and cause catastrophic damage, setting fields, or hay alight, or if they land on a thatched house it too can catch fire. 

They KILL animals.  Birds of prey, especially owls get caught in them, cattle can eat the wires, when they land in the field and get mixed up in their feed, and all then die a hideous death.

We don't need them, we can make a real impact on our environment...it is time we stopped nodding in agreement that this is wrong, or feeling bad when we see another dead animal because of them, and time to take action.

Please sign the petition, then spread it to all your friends. (This is one thing in 2020 we can spread with joy, knowing we could really be saving lives!!!)
