Many wildlife and domestic pets are now becoming victims of the poisons in slug pellets as well as anti freeze.  The hazardous substances are being abused and animals are dying horrible slow deaths due to cruel people who are laying it in public places; sometimes stuffed with food so the animal will unwillingly take the bait, this is all too often causing painfully slow premeditated deaths and needs to be stopped.

Also wild birds ,hedgehogs  and other wildlife feed on slugs. They are picking up slugs which have been poisoned with slug pellets and ingesting the poison which is killing them. All slug pellets should now be banned, the product is totally unnecessary.

Salt kills the slugs easier and is harmless to domestic pets and wildlife all of  which we should be protecting.
