In the United Kingdom, Health Care Assistants-HCAs are overused, underrated and underpaid. These affect the quality of care that Clients and Service Users receive- especially those in care homes.

HCAs are compassionate people, who have chosen to support and care for vulnerable people in our communities.
Most times, we work under pressure and untold hardship. Sometimes we don't have proper equipment to care for our Service Users. We improvise where possible and this causes great distress for our Service Users.

Many care homes are always 'short staffed' there is high staff turnover, all these add more confusion, to the challenges our vulnerable people are facing.

Many vulnerable people are suffering in care homes and hospitals in the United Kingdom. Personally, blame the government and the system they have put in place for this. Or should we say, the system they have failed to put in place?

The Government continue to form various legislation, rules and laws to maintain good care standard, guide workers and to prosecute people who look after 'the Vulnerable in our communities, if they fall into gross misconducts.

The Government is failing our vulnerable people because they have failed, to put a standardised measure in place, for Employers of Healthcare Workers. To our amazement, Employers decide the training given to their Healthcare Workers.

This is one of the reasons, the standard of care given to vulnerable people in our communities is so poor, despite the huge money spent.

Many Service Users have sore bottom, they keep complaining about high staff turnover, poor diet- well those who can communicate verbally. Those who are non- verbal are suffering more, not because Carers are wicked, but because, the system has failed all of us, in the Social healthcare sector.

Healthcare workers are not solely responsible for the poor social health care in United Kingdom, the Government and Healthcare Employers have their own fair share, of the blame.

Changes and new measures must be put in place as guidelines, which Healthcare Employers must adhere to, as part of, Healthcare Assistants' Employment Support Package.

I am launching a campaign, for 'Standardised Career Package' -SCP for all Healthcare Assistants in the United Kingdom, in order to improve standard of care for vulnerable people in UK.

One of our demands is £15.00 per hour minimum pay for Health Care Assistants and Support Workers in the United Kingdom: We want salary that is commensurate with the service we offer.

Pls sign our petition to make this happen.
