STOP LONDON ROYAL PARKS BIANNUAL DEER CULL!

STOP LONDON ROYAL PARKS BIANNUAL DEER CULL!
The Issue
As you may or may not know, each time you visit one of London’s beautiful Royal Parks, there is a morbid underlying truth that occurs twice a year.
Each year, the deer are shot and killed with a .270 caliber rifle; the male deer in February, and the females in November.
The reason for this? “To control the deer population and to prevent insufficient food malnutrition and ultimately, starvation.” However, contraception or re-location of the deer would, without a doubt, be the most humane way to prevent any “death by starvation” (as opposed to death by firearm!)
On the Royal Parks website, the following statement has been written: "Photographers have been witnessed surrounding deer which can interfere with the course of nature and be very stressful for the deer." How ironic.
It is clear that this organisation needs to listen to the public's, and the experts', calls for non-lethal alternatives to be considered. As not only does the biannual shooting bring mass suffering to the deer herds, but to other animals who are also caught in the cross fire. Each cull lasts around 6 weeks, which is 6 weeks of terror for the wildlife in the parks.
What they do not want you to know, is the mass profit made from the sale of venison meat produced from the culls over the past 5 years, which amounts to over £250,000.00.
Cruelty to animals is illegal, yet somehow, this act is allowed without good reason - the majority of people find this practice repugnant, so lets unite together to put an end to this unnecessary suffering and evil biannual ritual.
WE MUST COME TOGETHER TO BRING THIS MONSTROSITY TO AN END!
