NASP Terrified and attacking ADIs now

Mike SmithBirmingham, United Kingdom

We ask you all to stand firm and continue to pass the petition on to your colleagues, After our latest updates it seems NASP are indeed terrified and trying to attack us.

As in the quote: "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you" and now we're in the penultimate phase, "then they fight you", but finally us ADIs will win !

We are independent ADIs trying to earn a living, when some of the main NASP representatives don't even have an ADI Badge.

It seems funny that the effort they are expending to attack ADIs wasn't used to attack the DVSA when they forced through the SC and abolished B+E though, but as usual that would endanger their cosy relationship with the DVSA.

Some elements of NASP are now saying they had no knowledge of B+E being abolished. So what is it? Are you consulting with the DVSA for the (supposed) benefit of the industry or not?, and if you aren't then why are you charging ADIs upwards of £70 a year for membership?

Remember the made-up keyworker  register that NASP created and wanted ADIs to pay to join during the lockdown, despite being completely unnecessary? and the outcry from ADIs that forced them to scrap any payment? B+E certification is yet another NASP money making scam.

1) We demand that the NASP Associations promoting any B+E certification for training make it clear that any proposed certification will be free of cost to ADIs and B+E that wish to join.

2) We demand that in protest of the imposed new Standards Check criteria NASP start now lobbying now to prevent any efforts by the DVSA to make displaying a badge on test mandatory, rather than waiting to November and allowing the DVSA to announce it as a done deal.

If they don't do either of these things we know that NASP is not working for the benefit of ADIs but working for the benefit of the industry.

Don't believe the NASP propaganda, we are  promoting an independent enquiry into the DVSA that will fully investigate its association with NASP and all the other the other points we have raised.

The NASP Associations it seems believe that the DVSA are doing a fantastic job and that no action is needed.

We are not suggesting that we have any role in any such enquiry, the actions of the DVSA and NASP will be apparent to any independent investigation and that is why they are terrified.

We have been told through official sources that we now have more signatures of this petition than any NASP organisation has as as paid members, so we need to keep showing them and the DVSA once and for all that they do not speak for the industry.

Finally don't be fooled by some other associations that aren't members of NASP either. We have seen evidence that a new association calling itself the DITC is also takes the DVSA and NASP line, sending pointless emails rather than properly representing ADIs.

Please continue to spread this petition on social media, encourage your colleagues to cancel subscriptions to NASP associations, and then together as an Industry we will hold the DVSA properly to account!
