NASP wants its own B+E certification (at a cost of course!)
"Potential solutions have been suggested to DVSA for a new B+E training, testing and certification framework and the agency have stated they want to have a dialogue with the industry about such"
That's right! after knowing about changes ahead of time and doing absolutely nothing except waiting until it was announced as done deal, we now find out the reason why.
It conveniently allows NASP to charge you money for what was previously an unregulated sector.
NASP have a long history of ineffective action designed to appear to the paying members that it's actually doing something, while not upsetting the DVSA.
See the recent Standards Check fiasco. Instead of leading a campaign asking its members to remove badges on test, and to continually ask to reschedule standards checks when they are received to stop the DVSAs information gathering and cause them as much work as possible, instead they've sent a list of questions to the DVSA and want to work with them to make displaying a badge compulsory on test. And in another coincidence they've all started selling Standards Check training courses again,.
NASP sold us all down the river on Standards Checks and B+E and whatever the future of B+E is it's not safe with NASP.
Sign the petition today for an independent enquiry into the DVSA and NASP, and pass it on to any B+E trainers, especially those that want to carry on with what little work will remain in the sector without paying a fee to NASP !
