DVSA say safe driving for life finished, and backlog the fault of ADIs
After the latest message to the plebs from Lovejoy, Tinker and Eric, it seems that over 20 years of "safe driving for life" is finished and the truth about it's tame lapdog NASP has finally been revealed.
Teaching and Learning strategies and the other accumulated standards check nonsense is over. It's all about the test pass rate now. The totally appalling lack of management throughout the DVSA has caused such a crisis in the waiting lists that they are now blaming ADIs for presenting pupils before they are ready!
Of course if ADIs are only "allowed" an average of 4 driver faults per test, then clearly the current test allowance of 15 is inadequate, and so we demand that the maximum amount of faults on an L test be reduced to 4 to meet this new criteria.
As the average pass rate is below 50% and some test centres have a pass rate in the low 30s it would seem that the majority of ADIs will have an increased number of Standards Checks, not less. And that's not to mention that the DVSA secretly manipulate the Pass Rate to remain around 45% and have done for years. Statistically there is no possible way it could have remained the same for over 10 years) Having spent 18 months sat at home on full wages, rather than being out delivering tests they now want to spend even more time sat in the office making "helpful" phone calls prior to SCs. Get them out testing, that might reduce the backlog!
NASPs top tier consultations didn't amount to anything over the B+E fiasco either. Far from being consulted, they were caught on the hop as usual by the press release, then sent a letter which was immediately responded to telling them to wait until the public consultation opens and to respond to that like any other member of the public! Why people continue to pay money to the NASP organisations is beyond us!
And for the few ADIs meet the criteria and aren't called for a Standards Check under the new regime, will they be receiving a refund badge fee, or this another money making scheme by the DVSA?
If the last 18 months of inaction by the DVSA and NASP weren't enough this must clearly be the final straw!
Sign the petition for an independent enquiry into the DVSA and it's management and unlike NASP lets make a positive change!
