Latest NASP and DVSA debacle
Firstly the DVSA launch the "new" safe driving for life website with absolutely no input from "your trade association" NASP, leaving NASP embarrassingly begging to be "consulted" on the content in the future, closely followed by the DVSA claiming the average driving cost of a driving lesson was about £20 - (That probably was the case back in the 1990s the same period that the DVSA Customer Service seems to be stuck in) which was eventually corrected too late and without any input from NASP that then tried to take the credit.
Now finally the DVSA have come clean and admitted:
"there would be an update going to all instructors regarding standards checks in the near future"
What this update is who knows? NASP certainly don't they just like to pretend they do, the DVSA won't even consult them over the content of website!
As an Interim measure until a full enquiry begins, we have a new demand that all complaints against DVSA staff are dealt with by a panel consisting of an Independent Member, Member of the DVSA, and an ADI with all options including dismissal open to the panel.
The DVSA are totally unaccountable and measures must be introduced in the interim to begin to hold all of their staff properly to account by the taxpayer.
Please continue to share this petition far and wide.
Thanks for your support so far and stay safe out there.
